Inspired by attending Creative Writing at — The Exchange Recovery College in Barnsley
Creative writing is a way to force you to use your imagination in ways that make you more aware of, and also question, your surroundings and develop your own voice and storytelling ability.
It is a great way to relieve stress, sharpen your mind, and explore new ideas.
Let's start with something simple like describing your favourite colour in words and emotions.
Debbie's Creative Examples
1. Choose your colour looking at a paint chart might help
2. Create a mind map thinking about the things you associate with the colour, how it makes you feel, what you can hear, see or smell use your emotions to describe.
3. Next write a list of words and thoughts that will help inspire you to write your short paragraph
My final piece of work by Debbie's Creative Corner The morning came opening with a bright and light sky with its fluffy clouds touching the horizon. A gentle breeze touches the coast creating waves. Breathing in the salty sea. Daylight glistening on the water spreading its warmth on the shoreline. Listening to the gentle lap as it touches the golden sand spreading a natural pattern of arches along the beach. In the distance a boat bobs along three fishermen out for their early morning catch.
Creative art for all ages and abilities. - Let’s share the beauty of creativity
