The human race has been living by lunar cycles for centuries, and in our modern world, connecting to these energies can give us a sense of grounding with the earth and cosmos.
Being grounded is an essential skill for empaths and highly sensitive people who pick up emotions from the people and environment around them.
I believe my personal character fits within this and have always had a deep feeling about the new moon and its presence in my life.

My Story by Debbie Crouch
During my recovery journey I have learned to deal with emotional discomfort and ways to be grounded and still look for new ideas and learning around this.
When you're not feeling well, it's hard to ground; when you're not grounded, you're more emotionally vulnerable.
So finding ways to be well and me time is important for example, meditation, creative activities, walking, deep breathing of whatever works for you.
The new moon for me is a time to think about my intentions for the future, ideas and new projects, or changes I would like to make in my life. The full moon is a time of its high energy point and realisation of a time for fulfilment.
When the moon is completely full, it's a spiritual and energetic peak to ask for whatever you would like to start, change or desire for the future.
By this I mean something you are willing to work towards, learn, achieve through having an open mind, looking for opportunities, being in the zone and accepting the need for change.
This is not about materialism, selfishness or thinking badly of others but a time for you.

It's important to remember that the energy and the strength of the Earth is always there to support you.
You may not know how or when you will achieve your dreams you first need to believe and be open minded to life and what opportunities it may bring.
Sometimes situations and ideas do not go the way you think, this usually indicates it was not meant to be and other things are destined for your future.
Words are powerful, and the full moon is a ideal time for letting go of what's no longer serving you.
Write them down and if you wish you can rip the paper up to actively let go.
The full moon for me is a celebratory time, remember not to overdo it.
Avoid getting stressed or overworking yourself.
The intention behind your actions is what matters most.
This is based on my personal beliefs and how you define your own spirituality, or choose to tap into the energy of the moon may it bring more spirituality and peace into your life.
