Kindness Day - 19th May 2020

Debbie's Creative Corner

Here are a few simple easy pictures you can make to celebrate Kindness Day

Tuesday 19th May Kindness picture and messages

"In A World Where you can be Anything - Be Kind"

On grey paper draw the shape of elephant and cut out

Next glue onto a coloured background and add blue water strip at bottom.  In this picture a sparkly blue piece of card I had spare.

Draw in the elephant features and flower stalk and centre in black felt tip or Sharpie pen.

With oil pastels draw in the petals of the flowers in bright colours.

A simple and easy to make picture.

Being Kind to Yourself

Inspired by a beautiful drawing I thought I would share my version of how to be Kind to yourself.

Firstly write a list of words that mean kindness to you. Here is an example

Next draw an outline of a face

Of course other drawings can be used whatever makes you feel happy. In the drawing write in those words that mean something to you.

Keep this somewhere you can read whenever you need a boost

During the lockdown period, I would like to invite you to submit a piece of art work to become a piece for a wider collection on the theme of Hope.

Let's be creative together and build a collection  beautiful pieces that members have created.

What you need to do?

1. Think of something that to you symbolises hope, a word, a drawing, symbol, colour.......

2. Draw, colour or paint this either on a A4 paper or alternatively into a smaller size area.

An idea to divide your page into sections (like above) square/squares and draw a smaller image.

You can do just one or as many as you like the choice is yours.

What will you do for Kindness week? 10 random acts of kindness

"Spending time with friends the key to being Kind"

Kindness improves our quality of life and brings people together.

Doing good for others feels good.

Showing kindness to others is just as rewarding as receiving it from someone else.

"A Warm smile is a universal language of Kindness"

Why not create your own piece what Kindness means to you?
